Understanding my meter
Water meter
This type of meter is usually made of brass, sometimes of hard plastic.
When reading the meter index, do not take into account the figures after the decimal point, because Yverdon-les-Bains Énergies charges for the completem3 mentioned on this meter.
Council
A regular statement (e.g. monthly) allows you to spot a leak quickly, without waiting to see it in the annual bill.
A dripping faucet or a dripping toilet flush may seem insignificant, but it can quickly add up to several litres a day and thus considerably increase your annual bill.
Gas meter
This type of meter is usually cream, beige or grey.
When reading the meter index, do not take into account the figures after the decimal point, because Yverdon-les-Bains Énergies charges for the completem3 mentioned on this meter. When invoicing, thesem3 are converted into kWh of heating.
Electricity meter
This type of meter is often mechanical, made of black metal, with, on the most recent models, a digital display that makes it easy to read. There are two lines for the double rate or one line for the single rate.
To read the data, you usually need to press the button to scroll through the information. Electricity consumption information can take several forms:
Total consumption T or 1.8.0
Peak hour consumption T1 or 1.8.1
Off-peak consumption Q2 or 1.8.2
If the meter does not have a button, the display alternates between the two tariffs.
Consumption is measured - and billed - in kWh .
