Natural Gas Mobility

The advantages of natural gas fuel

... environmentally friendly

Per kilometre travelled, natural gas produces fewer pollutant emissions than petrol and diesel:

  • Up to 25% less Carbon Dioxide (CO2)
  • Up to 85% less nitrogen oxides (NOx)
  • Up to 55% less carbon monoxide (CO)
  • Up to 75% less non-methane hydrocarbons (NMHC)

* Biogas even has a neutralCO2 balance.

...saves money...

Reduced fuel costs:

  • 35% lower than gasoline
  • 30% lower than diesel

...clean and safe

  • No losses during refuelling (no emissions harmful to health)
  • No additives or carcinogenic substances
  • Quieter
  • Level of safety equal to that of petrol or diesel-powered vehicles

Driving on natural gas, safety guaranteed

Fuel of the future

Natural gas is a sensible and environmentally friendly alternative to other fuels.

Today, when mobility is important, traffic emissions (especially in urban agglomerations) are reaching a level of pollution that should no longer be tolerated today. At present, only natural gas seems to offer a real and economical solution.

Due to its special properties, natural gas has proven to have a high ecological potential and can make a direct contribution, particularly in the field of transport, to reducing pollution from soot, nitric oxide,CO2 and hydrocarbons. Gas-powered vehicles emit 60-95% fewer pollutants into the atmosphere than petrol or diesel-powered vehicles.

Perfectly developed techniques

The natural gas tank in these vehicles is absolutely reliable. Crash tests have shown that natural gas tanks are just as - if not safer - than petrol tanks. In the event of a broken pipe or fire, for example, safety devices are available to stop gas leaks or to stop any overpressure in the tank. Thanks to these perfectly developed techniques, a bursting of the pressure tank is absolutely excluded.
