Step 1: Diagnosis of my building - where am I?
The CECB, which stands for Certificat Énergétique Cantonal des Bâtiments (Cantonal Energy Certificate for Buildings), is a process that consists of having an expert analyze the current energy status of your building. With the BASE version of the CECB, he will tell you the performance of your insulation, your heat production, or the electrical equipment in your home. He will provide you with the CECB label (Certificat Énergétique Cantonal des Bâtiments) which will qualify your building on a scale from A to G, in the same way as labels for household appliances. This is an excellent start because you will know where you stand, what your starting point is.
Step 2: Possible alternatives - what are the prospects?
To go further, to improve your comfort and reduce your energy bill, you will need to know the possible alternatives and their stakes, whether financial, technical or environmental. This step will enable you to answer questions such as "Can I implement a less polluting, less energy-consuming system? "By how much will my energy bill and my impact on the climate be reduced? "How much will my energy bill and my impact on the climate be reduced? »
For this, the PLUS version of the CECB (Certificat Energétique Cantonal des Bâtiments) will give you three possible alternatives for your building. For example, it will be the replacement of the current system by a high energy performance system, or the thermal insulation of your building, or a mix of these first two alternatives.
Important : Thanks to subsidies from the energy department of the City of Yverdon-les-Bains and the Canton of Vaud, it is possible to benefit from a BASIC CECB-PLUS at the BASIC CECB price !

Step Three: Plan well to get organized - what are the next steps?
You now know the current state of your building, the possible alternatives and are in control of the stakes. From now on you have to plan your budget!
Be sure you have the necessary funds, in which case you will soon make your energy transition, or you will have to save. Don't worry, everything comes to those who know how to wait. It is recommended that you create your own savings fund to make your energy transition, putting a little money aside every month so that you will eventually have enough money!
The energy department of the City ofYverdon-les-Bains, the Canton of Vaud and the Swiss Confederation subsidise a number of energy-saving measures, whether it be the replacement of a fossil heating system with a renewable system, or for the thermal insulation of your building. In this way we support you in your approach.
Fourth step: realization!
Quelques mois se sont écoulés et vous disposez désormais du budget nécessaire.
Bravo ! C’est le moment de faire votre transition, d’améliorer votre confort, diminuer votre facture d’énergie et émettre moins de CO2.
