- Would you mind introducing yourself?
Hello, my name is Lamia, I have been a Marketing & Communication Project Manager for about 2 years for Yverdon Energies.
I've been teleworking for about ten days now, and I'm very happy to be able to work from home. This is a decision that I consider reasonable and responsible on the part of our employer. I feel protected and above all I protect others; especially those at risk.
I hope that many of you are fortunate enough to be able to work from home and if you are not, be careful and follow safety measures for YOUR health and the health of others.
- What do you do for Yverdon Energies?
In a few words, I take care of communication and marketing, I highlight the projects of Yverdon Energies. I develop communication campaigns that enable our department to inform the people of Yverdon about the news, products, services and partnerships that are developed on a daily basis by the employees of Yverdon Energies, always keeping in mind the City's objectives linked to the energy transition. It is a daily challenge to work towards a mission as important as this one. Not only do I have the chance to do a job that I really enjoy, but it is also a real responsibility and I am very proud of it!
- How do you manage your work at home?
I had never worked "teleworking" until today. It took me a little bit of adaptation and balance. Very quickly, I created my "office" space at home. I reproduced a small professional "cocoon". Besides, I dress every morning as if I were going to the office, although I admit that I do it in a less elaborate way (smile).
I get a lot out of it, it allows me to structure myself better, to go to the essentials, and I have more ideas for future projects, which is important in my job, which is creative.
Teleworking means that you see your colleagues less, but in my job (communication) we work and exchange a lot in a team with community managers, product/project managers and other collaborators ...
As a team, we had to organize regular conference calls. I still prefer human exchange to dialogue through screens.
Despite all the advantages of teleworking, I will not hide the fact that I am looking forward to human interaction again. This is why we all need to stay at home to regain the charm of an active and social life very quickly.
- What do you have to pass on to people who follow the news of the energies of Yverdon?
I want to convey a message of solidarity but also of responsibility.
Regarding the current situation that we ALL face, I would advise people to look at this confinement in a positive light, take this "chance" and take it as a break from our stressful daily lives. Let's enjoy the luxury of having a little more time and accomplishing personal projects. I will really find it a shame if we go back to our daily lives without any questioning. I am convinced that we are made to adapt to change, so let's take this challenge and face our personal limits.
