Water supply in the Nord-Vaudois region under pressure :
Drinking water is a basic necessity for consumption and firefighting and must meet hygienic (potability standards, water renewal) and quantitative (hydraulic capacities, water savings) requirements that are constantly increasing.
The impacts of human activities (global warming, increasingly present micropollutants, divergent uses of soils and subsoils) make the supply resources more complex.
In order to guarantee a sustainable supply of drinking water at a reasonable cost, the pooling of resources between distributors and producers will become part of an integrated and vertical management of the water cycle on the scale of our watershed.
Located in the mosaic of the Jura Nord Vaudois, the regional distributor ''Sagenord SA'' and its members have been actively and progressively involved in this essential development since 2009 with the support of the authorities. »
