Municipal subsidy for solar thermal installations***

Free and ecological energy

Solar energy is inexhaustible and produces no polluting emissions. Solar collectors provide energy for a family home as well as for a rental or business. Various mounting systems are available: roof integration, tile mounting, flat roof mounting and many other variations for integration in facades for example. The collectors have excellent energy yields and a particularly attractive life cycle assessment.

By opting for solar thermal, you are therefore contributing to the preservation of the environment for future generations.

What are the benefits for the environment?

The energy savings achieved with solar collectors will depend on the number of people living in the home and the hot water consumption habits. For a household of 4 to 6 people, solar thermal energy can produce an average of 500 kWh/year/m2 of installed panels and reduce fuel oil consumption by about 300 litres or gas consumption by about 300 m3 each year.

Greenhouse gas emissions will be reduced by about 800 kg per year for those with oil-fired boilers and 600 kg per year for those with gas-fired boilers.

Swissolar has put a solar energy calculator on its website (link). It provides information on the heat production of solar thermal panels according to various parameters.
