Energy from the sun is inexhaustible, free and environmentally friendly! With a photovoltaic system, you can convert this energy into electricity which can then be used directly in the building or fed into the grid.
In order to further support the production of renewable and local electricity, the Commune, through equiwatt, allocates a subsidy in addition to the federal Pronovo subsidy.
THE BENEFITS OF SOLAR PHOTOVOLTAICS
- Suitable for almost any type of house, regardless of other technical elements
- Allows you to become an electricity producer and to consume your own electricity
- Can be combined perfectly with a heat pump for example
- Increasingly attractive financial returns
STEPS FOR OWNERS

FAQ
Guarantees of origin are linked to the share of energy that is fed back into the electricity grid by your photovoltaic installation. For each kWh of electricity that is fed into the grid by your installation, a guarantee of origin is issued. This guarantees that the kWh has been produced locally and in a renewable way and gives an added value to this electricity.
How can guarantees of origin be valued?
Any installation operator who registers his installation for the establishment of guarantees of origin may market them freely.
There are currently various internet platforms for matching supply and demand (more information at: https: //pronovo.ch/fr/garanties-dorigine/information/commercialisation-delectricite/).
One of the easiest ways to ensure the most competitive feed-in tariffs is to establish a standing order with your electricity supplier.
Why establish a standing order of guarantees of origin with the energy department?
The standing order enables the photovoltaic electricity producer to market the ecological added value of the part fed into the grid (guarantee of origin) directly to the Energy Department and thus to benefit from a more attractive feed-in tariff:
Tarif de rachat SEY électricité photovoltaïque 2024:
Electron part | 18.10 cts/kWh |
Guarantee of origin | 1.50 cts/kWh |
Total | 19.60 cts/kWh |
By ticking the "yes" box in the previous form, the Energy Department will take care of the procedure with Pronovo to establish the standing order. An e-mail from Pronovo will then ask you to validate the standing order.
If you do not benefit from the municipal subsidy, you can also apply in writing for the creation of a standing order for the purchase of guarantees of origin.
Guarantees of origin are upgraded by the Energy Department through the E-Sun and E-Mix electricity offers.
The amount of the subsidy is determined by using the Pronovo pricing system:
Pour les installations mise en service avant le 1er janvier 2024 :
- For installations with a capacity of between 2 and 100 kWp, the City pays, in addition to the PRU Pronovo, 50% of the amount of the latter. The date of commissioning is the reference date for the calculation.
- Bonus : pour les installations couvrant plus de 40% de la surface exploitable du toit, la Ville verse un bonus à la subvention de base équivalent à 25% de la PRU de Pronovo. La date de mise en service fait foi pour le calcul.
- In the case of new buildings, the compulsory part according to the LVLEne is not included in the calculation.
- In the case of new buildings, the compulsory part according to the LVLEne is not included in the calculation.
One of the aims of our website is to provide the inhabitants of the region of Yverdon-les-Bains with elements of comparison which allow us to answer this fundamental question. Indeed, in order to be able to hope for a return on investment, it is essential that the installation achieves its production objectives and it is imperative to detect damage quickly.
Provided the modules are of similar technology and installed in the same region, it is very easy to compare performance. Simply reduce the production of a certain period (a month or a year) to 1 kWDC of solar panel.
For example: your installation consists of 16 modules with a nominal power of 320 WDC. The total power of your solar array is 5'120 WDC or 5.12 kWDC. If during one month your installation has produced 450 kWh, the production related to 1 kW of solar panel power is equal to 450 kWh divided by 5.12 kWDC, which gives us 87.9 kWh/kWDC. This value allows you to make comparisons.
Our website gives you access to production data, expressed in kWh/kWDC, on a monthly or annual basis for four installations with standard modules (rigid mono or poly-crystalline panels) and one installation using flexible thin-film solar panels. In the first instance, you should compare your technical data and statistics to find the installation that provides the best comparison. Afterwards, you can simply follow the evolution of the statistics. Deviations will highlight technical problems.
Please note that in order to make this comparison, it is important to take readings on the 1st of each month in order to compare similar periods. For our installations, we have meters that memorise the indexes at each change of month. Small installations (less than 30 kWDC) are not equipped with this type of meter. However, some inverters allow monthly statistics.
In one year, in our region, a "standard" solar installation should produce: 1000 kWh/kWDC
