The share of energy devoted to the preparation of domestic hot water (DHW) for a building represents about 30% of the building's energy consumption. When this DHW comes from an independent electric water heater, the energy efficiency is very poor! These installations can easily be replaced by heat pump water heaters (also called boiler PAC) which produce as much hot water with two thirds less electricity consumption.
In order to encourage the replacement of electric water heaters, the Commune of Yverdon-les-Bains, through equiwatt, allocates a subsidy for their replacement by a heat pump water heater.
WHY REPLACE YOUR ELECTRIC WATER HEATER WITH A HEAT PUMP WATER HEATER?
- Consume up to 3 times less electricity for DHW production
- Reducing your electricity bill
- A modern and reliable system that can be perfectly combined with a photovoltaic system
