FAQ

frequent questions

Photovoltaic solar power generation is a known and proven technology. The technical risks are well controlled. The solar modules have a 25-year production guarantee and could be replaced under warranty if their performance is too low. The costs of a possible replacement of the inverters are taken into account in the operating costs and provisioned. The installation will also be insured against fire risks. All these elements enable us to guarantee energy production over the duration of the contract.

For this project, the resale price of the energy produced is blocked by an agreement signed by the HEIG-VD for 25 years. Apart from fluctuations in production due to annual variations in sunshine, the turnover is guaranteed.

The amount needed to build the photovoltaic power plant is calculated. The amount is then divided into a number of shares that the participants can acquire. In this project, each share costs CHF 500.

Instantaneous production from the plant will be available on the Yverdon Energies website.

Each year, after deduction of maintenance/maintenance costs, the proceeds from the resale of solar energy are distributed over all the subscribed units.

The proceeds from the resale of solar energy are distributed over all the subscribed units and will be paid into the subscribers' account.

Each year, a 1/25 annual instalment is paid back the capital invested.

This underwriting phase is not binding. No amount will be withheld or requested from the contributors if the project does not obtain sufficient funding to complete it.

The subscription reservation period ends on June 15.

The offer is only available to members of the teaching staff and employees of the heig-vd.
