The thermostatic valve contributes to the reduction of energy consumption. In fact, once the temperature is selected, the valve expands or contracts according to the ambient climate to reach the desired number of degrees. Thanks to this automatism, the selected temperature remains constant.
In order to use the thermostatic valves correctly and achieve savings of up to 20% on its heating bill, Yverdon-les-Bains Énergies recommends closing them when the windows are open, as the mechanism reacts to the cold outside and causes the radiator to heat up unnecessarily. Thermostatic valves in the same room should also be set to the same position.
