The City of Yverdon-les-Bains encourages its citizens to carry out energy efficiency actions. These actions aim to reduce the consumption of electricity and heat by reducing the demand for energy.
To this end, Yverdon-les-Bains Énergies offers a range of subsidies that cover several areas of consumption. They are financed by the "Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Fund" managed by the Energy Advisory Commission.
Yverdon-les-Bains Énergies, in partnership with the SIL in Lausanne and with the support of the Canton of Vaud, took part in the 50% Efficient Distributors light bulb sales action at the Migros MMM in Yverdon from 26 September to 1 October 2016, in order to facilitate the purchase of low-energy light bulbs.
The energy efficiency action programme for 2017 is rich and interesting. The Commune of Yverdon-les-Bains, through the Yverdon-les-Bains Energies offer, will provide citizens with new actions to improve their energy efficiency.
Through these actions, the City of Yverdon-les-Bains, which has been awarded the Cité de l'énergie label since October 2010, wishes to raise awareness among its population of the importance of the theme of "energy efficiency", which represents the first pillar of the Federal Council's Energy Strategy 2050.
